Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Review

I am so incredibly sorry for the insanely long hiatus, but school and moving and so much else caught up with me. I’m safely in my new house, so hopefully I can begin to post at least fairly regularly again.
I was incredibly excited about the release of these, so read on to hear my thoughts on Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Antigone.
I believe that the general consensus on these is that they’re sheer, shiny, moisturising and not particularly long-lasting. I recognise that given my penchant for the ever-so-hard-to-maintain red lipstick that I wear at least once a week, I may be able to refrain from smudging my lips for a very long time, but I definitely get about three or four hours out of these, which isn’t so bad for the now very popular lipstick-gloss hybrid.
Antigone is an absolutely gorgeous sheer- but not too sheer- berry rose. It’s becoming, for me, the perfect color to wear when I’m going for a minimal look, but it can be built up for a brighter look.
The packaging is, of course, gorgeous as always with Chanel- smooth, sleek and minimalistic. Some people are disappointed in the fact that there is slightly less product in the tube than the standard Rouge Coco- 0.10 oz instead of 0.12, for the same price. Add to that the pigmentation differences, and the $32 seems really expensive. I have to say, though, that despite the price, I love this so much that I would definitely repurchase.
The shade choices differ rather a lot country by country- I don’t see Antigone on the Chanel website. I got mine from Debenhams in Westfield for £2250 for us UKers :)
Overall, I would most definitely recommend this, and I’m looking forward to trying other shades (once, of course, my wallet stops glaring at me sullenly )!
