Chanel Rouge Coco in Organdi Rose Review

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to review my new obsession- Chanel’s Rouge Coco! I picked this up in the airport on the way home from Connecticut, and i wasn’t alloweed to open it until on the plane due to security things, which was absolute torture! I also bought the nail polish in Peche Nacree and the Ombre D’Eau liquid eyeshadow, which I’ll definitely be reviewing as well!

The Rouge Coco line is fairly new, I think, having launched a year or so ago. This is the first one I’ve tried, and I absolutely love it!

The formula is lovely- very silky and lightweight. I hate it when you have a lovely color but it feels cakey and heavy on your lips, but Rouge Coco is perfect. It’s not very moisturising, and if you have dry, very flaky lips, this will emphasize it, so I’d apply a good lip balm first. That will help it go on much smoother. I really like the formula, but people say that Rouge Allure is a bit more moisturizing- guess what I’m planning to buy soon!!

The color is simply gorgeous. It’s quite natural, and almost an MLBB shade for me (but much, much prettier than the usual ones). Rose Organdi is a medium rose pink with a lovely shimmer to it! Rose Organdi is very pigmented, especially because lipsticks with this texture are usually pretty sheer.

As usual with Chanel, the packaging is stunning- a classy, shiny black and gold case. However, at $32, it’s very pricey indeed. I would say, though, that this is most definitely worth the price tag!

I’m sorry about the lack of a photo of the lipstick itself and that embossed tip, I had a (tragic) accident with the tip… Let’s just say it included me accidentally twisting the end once inside the cap. :’(
